    when i say this book was one of the cutest things i’ve ever read. i am SO partial to a romance, this had everything and more!!!

    i will say, i cringed every time the ‘recharging station’ was mentioned but i am absolutely obsessed

    very cute, very much looking forward to the 2nd sister’s book!!!

    This follows Piper who is an LA socialite who has been sent off to a small coastal town by her Step Father and Mother due to having a run in with the police. Piper comes from wealth, doesn’t have a job and loves the spotlight. When arriving at the small coastal town she is lost but things get worse when she meets the towns Captain. Will Piper survive the lessons coming her way or convince her parents to come home?

    This was incredible! Great plot and Characters. Piper had so much growth over the span of the book then we had Brendan who is now one of my favourite fictional men. The things he does for Piper had me swooning. I didn’t want this book to end. When I tell you the spice hits wow I need to find myself a fisherman and a boat!

    I love this damn book!! I needed something light hearted, less horrific things happening to everyone and just a true fashion love story with hot sex this delivered. Totally love this book! Can’t wait to pass it along to friends.

    It was cute. And spicy.
    I laughed at 'the recharging station' bits.
    And I cringed every time the narrator said 'baby' in her Brendan voice.
    Overall it was still an enjoyable read.

    I enjoyed how this story grew into such a great outcome. I found myself smiling, giggling and crying in certain scenes - I can't believe it took me so long to read Tessa Bailey!

    I absolutely loved the character development in both Piper and Brendan. Piper went from a place where she felt like she did not belong anywhere and always trying to fit in no matter what and trying to climb the social ladder one step at a time, to a place where she knew what home felt like and what it was like to have people supporting you. She started believing in herself.
    Brendan went from a place where he lived in the past and did not accept the changes that life brought, to a place where he was open for anything and finally was able to move forward and plan into the future.

    Brendan accepted Piper as she was, he did not expect her to change anything and vice versa. They supported each other with every decision and loved unconditionally - I thing Tessa gave the message of 'don't ever change for anyone' with this book, and it definitely is an important one.

    We also got to experience the beginning of Hannah's story as well as seeing the role she played in the relationship between Piper and Brendan, knowing that they would not be together if it was not for her. All in all, I really enjoyed the side characters in this book and feel like they had a really important impact on the story.

    I can't wait to read more Tessa Bailey books!

    Low 3 star for me. This was such an 'insta love' read. And I don't know if it was the narrator making both characters sound SO CRINGE, but on a few occasions there was ALOT of cringe. If Brendan also had to say 'MINE' one more time I was gonna puke, listening to this had me pulling aloottttt of faces ?

    This is the first book I have listened to by this author and it won’t be the last. Laugh out loud funny, sexy and such good characters , didn’t want it to end but it had to to find out what happens

    So adorable! I’m from the PNW so all the fishing hit home for me. Characters were so fun. Loved it. Plenty of spice also!!!!

    Almost all characters are shallow chlichés, it’s like listening to a porno with all the overt and uncalled for sexual content, the storyline is predictable almost to the smallest detail, the protagonists are disappointingly horrible people representing stereotypes from the last century, lots of low stakes drama.
    Three stars because the ridiculousness of it all is actually quite amusing. It’s so bizarre in some parts that I actually had to laugh out loud. I’d give it five stars if that’s what the author intended. I have the feeling it might not be though and that leaves me very unsettled.

    I don’t mind a quick unlikely girl and boy fall in love story , and this one might have been fine for a quick read , but the narration drove me crazy. So much so I had to skip through the naughty bits, just couldn’t take it seriously
